Lee S. Babitt
President/CEO
In 1991, Lee S. Babitt formed Gibraltar Construction Corporation, a leading commercial construction company, specializing in medical, dental and imaging facilities. As President, Lee is responsible for financial direction, medical equipment technology, project expediting and IT management. He acts as liaison between GCC's Project Managers and all equipment vendors, specifically on imaging projects.
Lee Babitt takes a hands-on approach at Gibraltar and sets the standard for the entire team. With more than 16 years experience in the construction industry, he is well versed in all major modalities. Lee is committed to consistent and open communication with the clients, suppliers and staff.
A graduate of Rutgers University of New Jersey, Lee Babitt received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business/Pre-Law. He is a longtime resident of South Jersey and currently resides in Voorhees, NJ with his wife and two daughters.
Paul Lazar
Vice President/COO
Paul Lazar joined Gibraltar Construction Corporation in 1993 as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, bringing with him 35+ years experience. Paul's main focus is project estimating and expediting. He manages a staff of professionals in the office and is also responsible for sales, value engineering and schematic design analysis. Paul works closely with Gibraltar's team of design Architects and Engineers on many "Design-Build" projects to insure that the finished product is completed on time and within budget.
Prior to joining Gibraltar, Paul Lazar served as Estimator/Project Expeditor at I. Lazar & Sons, Inc, a Cherry Hill-based construction company specializing in commercial projects up to $25 million. This experience and his careful attention to detail has been a valuable asset in Paul's current position.
Paul Lazar received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Drexel University and has taken classes in Construction Technology at Spring Garden College.
Arnold J. Cohen, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Arnold (Arnie) Cohen joined Gibraltar Construction Corporation in 2002 and oversees the accounting functions for Gibraltar along with its subsidiary entities, DMD Plumbing and MRI Electric. In this role, Arnie was instrumental in the company's growth and instituted a full job-cost accounting system for the company utilizing web-based technology.
Since the early 1990's, Arnie Cohen has been honing his accounting skills and financial acumen. He is a Certified Public Accountant with extensive corporate experience working with such companies as Commercial Office Furniture, Sagot Office Interiors and Orchid Health Care Services. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public.
Accountants. Outside of work, Arnie is an active member of the community and has been a board member with the State of NJ Department of Human Services and the State of NJ Family Development. An avid cyclist, he has participated in events supporting Multiple Sclerosis, American Diabetes Association and numerous other charities. Arnie currently resides in Cinnaminson, New Jersey with his wife.
Michael "Mac" McVey
Director of Field Operations
Mac McVey joined Gibraltar Construction Corporation in 1995 and is responsible for managing ALL of the field operations. Mac has supervised the construction of over 20 medical imaging facilities and 600+ dental offices. His responsibilities include the management of more than 80 employees throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland. Mac has the unique ability to manage over 30 projects in the field at one time without ever missing a completion date or equipment installation date. His field organization skills are unmatched in the industry.
Mac McVey has been involved in construction since the age of 17. He spent nine years in the Navy's construction battalion and was Construction Superintendent for the Pep Boys chain of store locations. He also worked for Llewellyn Builders where he built schools and medical facilities. His vast experience has been a vital part of Gibraltar's success.
Louise Stone
Office Administrator
Louise Stone joined Gibraltar Construction Corporation in 1997, taking on the integral role of Office Manager/Project Coordinator. In her position, Louise coordinates the company's projects, working closely with architects and engineers to procure drawings for permit submission and guide the project through each township's unique process. She is responsible for scheduling inspections and coordinating efforts with all subcontractors through the project.
As Office Manager, Louise is active in Gibraltar's day-to-day operations. She is a member of the firm's executive committee and takes pride in ensuring overall client satisfaction.
Louise Stone holds an undergraduate degree from Boston University and a master's degree from Boston College. A native of Cape Cod, Louise now lives in Cherry Hill with her husband and daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys politics and the arts, including movies and theatre.
Carolyn T. Pinto, M.T. (CPM)
Director of Imaging Projects
In August 2003, Carolyn T. Pinto came on board with Gibraltar Construction Corporation as Director of Imaging Projects. Using a combination of 20+ years of health care industry knowledge and strong project management skills, Carolyn acts as the company's liaison between all imaging clients, architects, design professionals and equipment vendors.
Prior to taking on her role at Gibraltar, Carolyn was Administrator of a major radiology practice for 14 years and was Project Manager for the practice's numerous expansions and fit outs at various site locations. Her past responsibilities contributed to Carolyn's familiarity with imaging standards, equipment and construction scheduling ~ a tremendous asset in leading Gibraltar Construction's imaging projects team.
Carolyn has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology and has a Certificate in Medical Practice Management.
Tom Gilmore
General Manager, MRI Electrical Contractors
In 2001, Tom Gilmore took on his current role as General Manager at MRI Electrical Contractors, an independent division of Gibraltar Construction Corporation, providing commercial and industrial electrical installation, maintenance and service. Tom manages MRI Electric's 20 employees and is responsible for estimating, purchasing and new business development.
Prior to starting MRI Electric, Tom Gilmore owned and managed General Electrical & Mechanical Services for 12 years and Air Mechanical, Inc. for 5 years. His extensive experience in design, permitting, installation and contracting for electric, HVAC and refrigeration, is a valuable asset to Gibraltar Construction clients.
Tom Gilmore resides in South Jersey, has three children and enjoys antique cars, camping and fishing.
Rob Hogan
Partner, DMD Plumbing
Rob Hogan participated in the creation of DMD Plumbing in 2003 as a subsidiary of Gibraltar Construction Corporation, offering a complete array of plumbing solutions with specialization in medical, dental and imaging centers. As partner, Rob is responsible for estimating, proposals, operations management and plumbing layout and design.
Over the past 20 years, Rob has held key management roles including as Foreman with Aquarium Plumbing and Foreman/Supervisor with Acme Plumbing. His "hands-on" expertise provides Gibraltar clients with a level of quality unmatched in the industry.
When not working, Rob enjoys spending time with his family. He coaches baseball and enjoys golf, fishing, travel and the Jersey shore.
Bill McGrath
Partner, DMD Plumbing
In 2003, Bill McGrath jointly established DMD Plumbing, an independent sister company of Gibraltar Construction Corporation. In his role, Bill focuses on project operations where he not only oversees the work of the DMD team but further uses his Master Plumbers License to work on projects himself. Bill is strongly committed to education and as such, he ensures those working for DMD participate in continuing education opportunities.
Bill McGrath has more than 20+ years experience in the plumbing industry. He began his career with Aquarium Plumbing where he honed his skills for 16 years. Bill also worked as Project Manager for Fosters Plumbing. In 1995, Bill McGrath obtained his Master Plumbers License with the State of New Jersey and has since acquired his license in Delaware and several townships throughout Pennsylvania. More recently, Bill received his 6010 Medical Gas & Brazing Certificate.
Outside of work, Bill enjoys golfing, traveling and spending time with his family. He currently resides in Easthampton, New Jersey with his wife and son.
William "Billy" Cyr
Principal/General Manager, Field Operations, MRI Electric
Billy Cyr participated in the formation of MRI Electric, an independent sister company of Gibraltar Construction Corporation, in 2001 with Lee and Paul after years of working together, including Gibraltar's very first project! As General Manager, Field Operations, Billy spends most of his time on the road, providing onsite project management to ensure the highest level of quality and client service. Billy specializes in medical imaging.
Before joining MRI Electric, Billy Cyr was owner and manager of Electric Light & Power for 12 years and prior to that spent 19 years with Peter's Electric. Billy is a Certified Master Electrician and is licensed in both New Jersey and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Billy Cyr grew up in South Jersey and when he is not working, he enjoys snowboarding, horseback riding and spending time at the shore.
Jeffrey Heinsheimer
Director of Sales/Marketing
In March 2007, Gibraltar Construction Corporation welcomed Jeffrey Heinsheimer as Business Development Manager. In this role, Jeff is responsible for expanding the firm's client base through traditional prospecting, industry-related events and grass roots efforts. With more than 30 years of dental equipment, installation and office design expertise, he focuses much of his attention on this market.
Jeff Heinsheimer comes from a family of dental suppliers. Prior to joining GCC, he was a consultant for various dental manufacturers and spent two and a half years as the National Equipment Manager for Benco Dental in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Jeff was also president of Heinsheimer Dental Supply for over 17 years.
A long-time resident of Suburban Philadelphia, Jeff currently resides in Plymouth Meeting with his wife and two children. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, softball and being an active "class-mom" at the William Penn Charter School.
John J. Malone III
Architectural Designer
John Malone joined the Gibraltar family in 2007 as Architectural Designer. In this role, he is responsible for working with clients to establish project goals, reviewing current site conditions, drafting design compositions and preparing architectural details for construction documentation. The scope of work will span all types of commercial projects and involve designs for professional sites, dental offices, medical centers, imaging facilities and any other GCC work.
Prior to joining GCC, John Malone spent 26 years with Benco Dental Company in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania where he was an Office Designer, Specification Plan Writer and Site Inspector. His roles also included acting as a Territory Merchandise Representative, Equipment Specialist Representative and Design Department Liaison. During this time, John honed his design skills specifically as they relate to the dental community.
John is a graduate of Luzerne County Community College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science, Architectural Engineering and recipient of the Luzerne County Architectural Institute Award for outstanding academic achievement. He is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Design and received several design awards over the years. Currently a resident of Chalfont, Pennsylvania, John Malone enjoys woodworking, traveling to historical sites and participating in the Father Daughter Program with the YMCA.
Linda Roadknight
Director of Information Management
In October 2004, Linda Roadknight's career with Gibraltar began as the receptionist ~ the first smile visitors would see; the first voice callers would hear in keeping with GCC's commitment to a personal greeting versus the trendy automated voicemail. Over the past three years, Linda has thrived and become the integral hub of the company's information flow. As Director of Information Management, she maintains various responsibilities, including document scanning, tracking and archival, distribution of architectural drawings for bidding, assistance with job permits and maintenance of all project drawings for the firm's projects. In addition, Linda trains and oversees the receptionist as well as maintains Lee's and Paul's daily schedules.
In the years leading up to Linda's move to Gibraltar, she was a receptionist, administrative assistant with Costa & Rihl, a mechanical contractor located in Mount Laurel, NJ, and was a student of the Liberal Arts at Camden County College.
Linda is a long time resident of South Jersey and currently lives in Deptford, NJ with her husband and three children. Outside of work, she enjoys spending as much time as possible with her kids, including actively participating with school events and programs.
Ralph Travis
Director of Medical Imaging
In January 2008, Ralph Travis became the newest member of the GCC family and too the lead of the company’s Medical Imaging Division. As Director of Medical Imaging, he uses his 30+ years of industry expertise to further expand the firm's client base and product line.
For the past 15 years, Ralph Travis worked at Booth Radiology Associates in Woodbury, New Jersey and spent the last eight (8) years as the Chief Operating Officer, in which he was responsible for all aspects of the company's operations. During his distinguished career, Ralph was the Director of Medical Imaging for both S.J. Hospital Systems in Bridgeton, New Jersey and Kennedy Health Systems in Turnersville, New Jersey. He has also held positions with Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton, New Jersey and Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida. Ralph Travis has shared his knowledge throughout the years as a consultant and teacher.
Ralph Travis is a graduate of Rowan University a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He studied at JF Kennedy Hospital’s School of Nuclear Medicine and received a Masters of Science in Management from The University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work, Ralph enjoys motorcycles, skiing, competitive swimming, camping/kayaking and rebuilding cars. He is a longtime resident of South Jersey and currently resides in Wenonah, New Jersey with his wife and two children.
David N. Rahn
Chief Financial Officer
David N. Rahn joined Gibraltar Construction Corporation in February 2008. As Chief Financial Officer, he oversees the financial and accounting arms of GCC and its subsidiary entities, manages a solid internal structure to accommodate for growth and participates in strategic planning and negotiations.
Prior to joining GCC, David N. Rahn was the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer with Hollywood Tanning Systems, Inc. in Sewell, New Jersey, where he helped grow total consolidated franchise system revenues from $10,000,000.00 in 2001 to over $115,000,000.00 in 2007. During the same time period, the company's franchising operations grew from 40 units to 320 units and the company's revenues increased from $4,000,000.00 to $27,000,000.00. Mr. Rahn was an integral part in the negotiation and sale of the company, and post-transaction, he acted as a consultant to ensure the smooth ownership transition. He has also held Executive-level positions with other New Jersey-based companies, including PMI Imaging Systems, Inc. in Mount Laurel, PacificHealth Laboratories, Inc. in Woodbridge, American Interactive Media, Inc. in Medford and Abo, Uris & Altenburger, CPA's in Marlton.
David Rahn is a graduate of Rutgers College School of Business in New Brunswick, New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He received an M.B.A. in Finance from Rutgers University Graduate School of Management in Newark, New Jersey and is also a Certified Public Accountant. Born and raised in South Jersey, David currently resides in Mount Laurel, New Jersey with his wife and three children. He enjoys sports and travel when not at work.
